On May 17, a delegation led by Mr. Petar Đokić, Minister of Energy and Mining of Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited Cosin Solar for technical exchanges and discussions on cooperation in the energy sector. Mr. Li Wei, Vice President of Cosin Solar, warmly welcomed the delegation. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including Concentrated Solar Power (CSP), molten salt energy storage applications, and energy transition.

Accompanied by Mr. Li Wei, the delegation toured Cosin Solar’s Future Energy Experience Center and gained a comprehensive understanding of the development of China’s CSP industry, its technological achievements, and the advantages of large-scale applications. The delegation also gained detailed insights into Cosin Solar’s technological innovations and project implementation experience in the fields of CSP and molten salt energy storage.

During the meeting, both sides focused on the potential applications and development opportunities for CSP and molten salt energy storage technologies in Republika Srpska, with discussions centered on thermal power plant flexibility upgrades, industrial clean heat supply, and industrial decarbonization, while further exploring the feasibility and cooperation potential for localized deployment of related technologies.

Minister Petar Đokić noted that, as Europe’s energy transition continues to accelerate, Republika Srpska is facing growing demand for greater power system flexibility and lower industrial carbon emissions. CSP and molten salt energy storage technologies have broad application prospects in areas such as long-duration energy storage, clean heat supply, and the upgrading of conventional energy systems. Minister Petar Đokić highly recognized the technological achievements made by China and Cosin Solar in this field, emphasizing that these technologies align well with the region’s energy transition objectives and offer significant practical value. He also expressed his expectation for further technical exchanges and deeper exploration of future cooperation opportunities between the two sides.
This exchange further strengthened mutual understanding in the field of clean energy and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation in areas including energy infrastructure upgrades, industrial decarbonization, and energy storage technology applications.
Looking ahead, Cosin Solar will continue leveraging mature, reliable, and independently developed Chinese CSP and thermal energy storage solutions to actively participate in global clean energy cooperation and support more countries in advancing their green and low-carbon energy transition goals.
Joining the delegation were Mr. Bojan Đokić, Advisor to the Minister of Energy and Mining of Republika Srpska; Ms. Aleksandra Živković, Chief of Staff, Office of the Minister; Ms. Nina Lučić from HD Razvoj d.o.o. Banja Luka; Ms. Chen Hui, Director of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Representative Office of the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation; Mr. Zhao Haofang, Deputy Director of the same office; and Mr. Liu Zhidong, General Manager of the Spain Branch of China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd. Representatives from Cosin Solar’s R&D Center and Overseas Business Department also attended the exchange.
